No, we do not recommend car hire. Firstly you will need winter tyres & snow chains, secondly you will have to pay. for car parking and thirdly as Avoriaz is car-free, you will not have any use for your car during your stay.

Yes, Avoriaz has indoor and outdoor car parks, both of which are payable. We recommend booking the indoor car park in advance of your stay. The outdoor car park is not pre-bookable. See Transfers & Parking for more information.
We recommend you unload your car at the Welcome Centre prior to parking it in one of the Avoriaz car parks. In-resort transport is available directly from the Welcome Centre. See Getting here for more information.
In-resort transport in Avoriaz runs on a 24 x 7 basis. Depending on which property you have booked, you can use in -resort transport or walk to your chalet.
No, the in-resort transport in Avoriaz is not pre-bookable. It is an on-demand service running 24 x 7.
The in-resort transport is similar in price to a taxi in any city. Prices start range between €10 – €25 per horse drawn sleigh.
No, we strongly advise AGAINST arriving via Prodains. Most of our properties are closer to the main Avoriaz Welcome centre, so arriving via Prodains will be complicated, require additional lift tickets and onward transport. See Getting here for further details.
Yes, absolutely, all of our properties are located centrally in Avoriaz, so from wherever you’re staying it’s only a 5-7 minute stroll into town. Avoriaz is a compact resort and totally car free so its easy to walk around.
Our standard check-in time is 17h and check-out is 10am. Depending on availability at the time, we may be able to facilitate early check-in or late check-out.
If there are any changes to your ETA, we ask you to contact us ASAP to update us. If you have booked transfers through us, the transfer company should be aware of any delays.
The Avoriaz Welcome Centre offers a paid luggage storage. This is available every Saturday during the season.
The supermarkets in Avoriaz are open 7 days / week from 8.00am – 8.30pm. The ski hire shop opening times vary but most will be open from 9.00am – 7.00pm throughout the season.
Yes – we offer a provisioning service. Just send us your list at least 48 hours in advance and we will ensure that your shopping is safely stored in your property.
Yes, the main restaurants serve until late but some stay open until very late and serve past midnight. Check with us nearer the time for details.
Yes, there are 3 well stocked supermarkets with a wide variety of fresh produce including some allergen sensitive foods. There are also specialist delicatessens. Most of the supermarkets offer a delivery service too.
Absolutely, Avoriaz has 2 main bakeries which open early morning (7.00am) for fresh bread, pastries and croissants.
Yes, we pride ourselves on the quality of our properties and the kitchens are all modern & fitted with the latest BOSCH appliances, a wide range of utensils and crockery.
Yes, we do offer catering if requested, subject to a minimum of 6 adults. This can be on a daily or weekly basis and options range from a self-serve breakfast and 2 course supper to a private chef and bespoke menu. Catering must be booked in advance and is subject to availability.

If you have pre-booked your ski passes through us, they will be in the chalet ready and waiting on your arrival, so you will be all set to hit the slopes. If you have booked via any other route, you will need to join the (probably very long) queue to collect them before you can start skiing.

All ski and board equipment booked via us will be available to collect on your arrival from a ski hire shop close to you property. This way, you can try the boots on for a perfect fit and check you are happy with the skis / board. We recommend reserving your ski and board equipment in advance through us SKI HIRE
Although they accept walk-ins, the Avoriaz restaurants are very popular, so we recommend booking for dinner reservations. They mostly offer 2 services at 7pm or 9pm. In peak season, it is essential to book restaurants in advance. Read our Dining guide for more information.
Yes, everything will be open through the Christmas and New Year holidays including on Christmas and New Year’s Day, exactly the same as all other days, so the lifts and shops and restaurants will all be open and running as normal.

Yes, there is an excellent state of the art medical centre open every day in Avoriaz run by a very experienced specialist team. Appointments are not required and an emergency out of hours service is provided.

The Portes du Soleil is vast, comprising 650km of terrain and 209 lifts. There are 308 pistes: 39 green, 130 blue, 105 red, 33 black in addition to 30 designated fun areas (snowparks, snow cross, fun tails, half pipes…)
Avoriaz region has 37 lifts covering 78km of terrain on 53 pistes comprising 8 green, 25 blue, 13 red and 4 black pistes, 5 snowparks and 4 snowcross and a half-pipe.
Avoriaz has a lively après scene. The famous Follie Douce is located on the main plateau and offers live music and dancing outdoors from 3-6pm daily and is very popular. Several other venues offer live music – check out are Après guide for more information.
Yes absolutely. All of our properties are furnished with luxurious down duvets and pillows and superfine Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels. You will also find the beds freshly made for perfect nights’ sleep.
Our chalets are all equipped to a high standard and we include as standard all the household necessaries for your stay. Expect to find dishwasher tablets, cooking foil and wrap, teas, coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, a full cleaning kit, luxury bathroom toiletries and amenities.
